You know why people cry at weddings?
Why there are such big emotions bubbling to the surface all day?
Because it’s not just about the wedding. It’s not just that you’re getting married. It’s because your mom looks at you all dressed up and has flashbacks to carrying you around on her hip. It’s because your grandma remembers the first time you rode a bike. It’s because your dad is thinking about your first soccer game, your first job, your first heartbreak. All those little life moments were leading you to this one, the day you start your life with your true love.
Your love for each other is why this day is happening. But there were decades of you both walking your own paths until you found each other. The big emotions come from the people that walked with you, and your connections to them are what I will be sure to document.
